Germany part 3... Hannover, Bonn, Köln, Berlin....and Dublin

There has been so much going on the last few weeks. Emotions up and down, a death, a birth, and another death all within a week of each other... wow...Dealing with sorrow while seeing so many exciting and fun things...how are you supposed to feel?? Well I feel tired.... I love traveling and seeing and experiencing so many new things, but I am ready for my own routine, my own place, my own "life".

Now back to the awesome things:

Hannover- I went alone by train here, and managed to survive navigating the rail system in the city without understanding any of the language! Pretty proud of myself....doing something like that a few years ago would have stressed me out beyond belief, so seeing how far I have come and how I can now control my anxiety and see more of the humor and fun in these situations really makes me feel good! So I went to Hannover by myself to meet a sort of legend in my profession,  JPP. A chiropractor who has been in practice for 42 years!! And graduated from Palmer also. This ended up being one of my favorite days here so far. Finally being able to be around people who understand me and where it isn't weird but actually fun for conversations to end up being about strange diseases and conditions or people's postures! After the meeting, I got a personal tour from another young chiropractor who graduated the same time as me, who is also trying to figure out what he wants to do, and who knew the city well. Pretty cool city, and very awesome day!

Bonn/Köln-After I was finished for the day in Hannover, L came and picked me up and we went to visit a friend of his from India in Bonn. Great conversations, food, and the German history museum equate to the weekend being even more amazing! And to top off the weekend we went to the Kölner Dom, this incredible church! Definitely one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen. We climbed 500 some odd stairs to the top for a 360 degree of the city. Really amazing!!

Berlin- So back in Dresden, I started my German lessons...lets just say German is pretty hard, but I am slowly getting better! Last week wednesday we went to Berlin and stayed with a friend of L's. I had no idea that the city was so HUGE!! I still am in awe of how big it is. I only got to see a very small portion of it, the Brandenburg gate and the German consulate, and a few other places, but we will be going back again before I leave here!

Dublin- From Berlin I flew out to Dublin, again I went by myself for the first two days. Dublin was a place for me where I immediately felt comfortable. It was like being somewhere that I knew already, it is hard to explain, but I felt like I could fit in there immediately! Busy, people everywhere, even my name was one of the chain stores! Like I am meant to be there! Stayed at a really great little place, Harvey's Guest House (most amazing breakfast!!). And did some traveling outside of the city too, beautiful countryside going one way, then going the other way you are on the ocean! Really nice.

So now back in Dresden, and back in German lessons. Still have a few more weeks here,  and will definitely keep enjoying every moment, this has been a really amazing experience so far, still hard to believe how much I have seen and done in such a short time :)

Well I guess all that's left for now is to say...

Tschüss!
