The Black Hole of Winter
Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year…and the least favorite, winter. Not the pre-Christmas winter filled with lights and excitement, the post-Christmas winter that often feels like it will never end. It's a monotonous time for me, dark when I wake up and head to work, and dark when I'm on the way home. Just getting through the days and weeks are a struggle for me. It leaves me with no motivation to do anything except curl up with a blanket and try to stay cozy in the evenings. Thankfully the first signs of spring have started appearing, the days are stretching longer, the birds are chirping more in the mornings, some bits of sun during the day. And also thankfully the black hole hasn't sucked us in completely, a few day trips to Dublin- including one where we found an amazing little shop in one of our favorite places in the city, hosted a dinner party, and attending two, a night out for drinks in Dublin, and plenty of time in the local gym. Oh and the first lambs have arrived in Ireland, I love passing by the pastures with the tiny baby sheep, so cute!
Until next time…I hope all of you are having good winter months!
