Achill Island
When standing at the side of a 1500ft drop of the edge of a cliff, you look down, and realize how really small we are. The rugged beauty of nature, is frightening and awe inspiring, both at the same time. These cliffs are located on Achill Island, a remote, western Island, off the mainland of Ireland.
Aside from cliffs, there are stunning beaches, wild bays, and a sensation of stepping back into time. We all know being in nature is good for us, and there is something even more special about being somewhere remote, forging your own path up the side of a mountain, feeling the heat of the sun glazing and the coolness in the wind on your shoulders, and listening to the sounds of a truly wild place: waves splashing, birds calling, wild sheep/goats baaing. Amazing.
